Tasty start of the day. Recipe of Ukrainian pancakes with jam.
No matter what the weather is outside, airy and delicate pancakes are always a good idea to start the day. Be sure to complement them with jam, jam, condensed milk, honey or simply sprinkle with powdered sugar. They are ideal in combination with any drink - coffee, tea, cocoa and hot chocolate with a pinch of hot red pepper.
1 cup yoghurt 1 egg
1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
3-5 tbsp. vegetable oil
pinch of salt
Prepare the dough for fritters. Pour yogurt into a deep bowl and beat one egg. Mix the ingredients with a whisk until smooth, but do not overbeat.
Add a pinch of salt, sugar and vanilla sugar to a bowl. If you wish, you can reduce the amount of sugar. Mix with a whisk. Then add ½ tsp. soda and mix everything well again. Soda will add magnificence to the fritters.
Add flour to the bowl and knead a smooth dough so that there are no lumps in it. The consistency of the dough should be thick, but at the same time flow from the whisk. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave the dough to rise for 20-25 minutes in a warm place.
Start frying fritters. Heat the pan with a small amount of oil. If desired, lubricate it with oil using a silicone brush. Put 1 tbsp. of dough on the pan. Leave a space so that the fritters do not stick together during frying. Fry the fritters for 1 minute on each side until they are nicely browned. If necessary, place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve fritters with jam or any topping you like. Enjoy!
